Exhibits At NJ Fairs and Festivals Throughout The Summer Representatives Will Provide Helpful Consumer Protection Information to Residents NEWARK - As the summer season approaches, representatives from the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs are being dispatched to fairs and festivals as part of the Division’s ongoing effort to educate residents about New Jersey consumer protection laws and offer tips on how to detect and avoid fraud, Attorney General Peter C. Harvey and Consumer Affairs Acting Director Kimberly Ricketts announced today. "By sending Consumer Affairs representatives to community events, we are bringing our lessons of consumer protection directly to the public," Attorney General Harvey said. "We hope that people will stop by our exhibits for important information that will empower them in the marketplace." "Our representatives will be available at these events to talk to consumers and provide consumer education materials, covering a wide variety of topics, including New Jersey’s ‘Do Not Call Law,’ securities fraud, New Jersey’s new and used car lemon laws, and much more," Acting Director Ricketts said. Look for Consumer Affairs representatives at the following fairs and festivals throughout the summer:
